Bernie is the Chair at FRES Council. Bernie is a vastly experienced former Fire Service Principal Officer having retired from the London Fire Brigade in December 2012 after 34 years’ service. During his service, Bernie attended a wide range of incidents and gained vast experience of command functions as well as undertaking a wide range of managerial roles. Bernie has a strong training background having been a trainer as well as managing training within London Fire Brigade at both Middle Manager and Principal Officer levels.
