Fire Buyer Live is the event for International Fire Buyer Magazine, the leading and must-attend online event for both the passive and active sectors. With the rapid evolution of technologies, and the constant shift of policy and challenging requirements of users, it is now more important than ever to stay abreast of the issues that affect you.
With this in mind, Jacob will be delving deeper into “Fire alarm considerations for sensory sensitivities”. In recent years, technology has advanced and produced fire alarm devices capable of providing higher audible and visual outputs. Whilst BS 5839-1 addresses the needs of those with a hearing impairment and those with photosensitive epilepsy, the code does not address the needs of those with other sensory sensitivities who may not behave as designers expect during an evacuation.
